Rangers Go Down to Defeat, 3-1
|
Helena beat Texas (Rk+) on the strength of starting pitcher Josh McGuire's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Daniel Reyes earned the save, his 3rd. The Brewers are now 29-21.
The Brewers got a big at-bat from third baseman Chad Bright. For the game, Bright was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Helena a 2-0 lead.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Bright told the Helena Herald.
