Coots, Mariners Clobber Athletics, 11-2

The first-place Seattle (Rk+) Mariners picked up another win.
The Seattle (Rk+) Mariners met little resistance from the Oakland (Rk+) Athletics, beating them 11-2 at Ballpark of Sammamish. Ken Coots led the way. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6 for Seattle (Rk+). William Carrera got the win, improving to 5-2. He worked 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 2 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2.
With Seattle (Rk+) leading 7-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Coots came up to bat against Oakland (Rk+) pitcher Josh Hawley. Coots hit a cutter to center for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Mariners on top, 11-2.
"I like easy wins," Coots told the Seattle (Rk+) Chronicle.
Seattle (Rk+)'s record now stands at 25-27, placing them first in the West.
