Raptors Tally Another W, 3-1
|
In a tight game between the Ogden Raptors and the Portland Tigers, pitcher Frank Castro was terrific on the mound. The Ogden right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Castro got the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Castro allowed no runs. Erik Hare picked up the save for Ogden, his 5th of the year.
The Raptors got a big hit from right fielder Adam Averett. In the bottom of the fifth, Averett pounded a run-scoring triple to right-center. His 2nd triple of the season put the Raptors ahead, 2-0.
"The team is playing at a high level," said Raptors manager Joe Post.
