Severs Stars as Tigers Top Osprey, 17-7
Due in large part to shortstop Mike Severs, the Portland Tigers sunk the Missoula Osprey, 17-7. Severs went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Portland reliever Phil Roddam snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jose Hinojosa shouldered the loss. Willie Ochoa was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.

With Portland trailing 6-4 in the bottom of the fifth, Severs hit a splitter from Jose Hinojosa for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Tigers ahead, 7-6.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Severs.

The Osprey, at 38-30, have lost 4 in a row.
