Brewers Win Streak Reaches 7
|
Starting pitcher Jim Moseley gave the Helena Brewers a rock-solid effort. The Woburn, Massachusetts native helped his team defeat the Texas (Rk+) Rangers, 3-0, at Kindrick Legion Field. Ryan White was credited with the save for Helena, his 8th of the season. The setback makes Texas (Rk+) 34-29.
Ben Landrum had a big run-scoring double for the Brewers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Helena leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a cutter from Tom Maki, who is tied for 3rd in the PIO in quality starts with 7, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brewers ahead, 2-0.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Landrum said in reaction to the win.
