Bauer goes 4-for-4 to Fuel Voyagers Offense
|
The Great Falls Voyagers defeated the Missoula Osprey, 8-4, at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. Leading the charge for Great Falls was third baseman Matt Bauer. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Great Falls improves to 48-17 with the win. They lead their division by 10 games.
Great Falls used the clutch hitting of Justin Roth to snag the win. The second baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Voyagers ahead, 6-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"This is truly a great team to play with," Roth said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
