Brewers Curb Mariners, 5-4

The Helena Brewers scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Seattle (Rk+) Mariners at Kindrick Legion Field. Helena pitcher John Tucker held his own in the contest. The winner was Tucker. He threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Rodolfo Rubio. The last-place Brewers now sit at 32-33.
Mike Hauser had a big grand slam home run for the Brewers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Helena trailing 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 19-year old left-handed pitcher Rodolfo Rubio and swatted a home run to center. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brewers ahead, 4-2.
"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Helena manager Justin Flowers.
