The Chicago (Rk+) Cubs weathered a fine game by Las Vegas (Rk+) center fielder Alejandro Aguayo to upend the Hustle, 6-5, at Goliaths Ballpark. Aguayo was 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Josh Ford closed the door for Chicago (Rk+), picking up his 10th save of the year. With the win, the Cubs have a record of 29-36.

C.J. Grohman came through with a big-time hit for Chicago (Rk+). The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Grohman.
