Gibson Top-Notch as Rangers Stop Owlz, 2-0
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Texas (Rk+) Rangers and Orem Owlz.
The Texas (Rk+) Rangers picked up a win at Brent Brown Ballpark, courtesy of Jerry Gibson. The right-hander helped his team stop the Orem Owlz, 2-0. Tommy Castiglione earned the save, his 7th, for the Rangers.
The Owlz had trouble solving Gibson, who surrendered no runs on 4 hits over 8.1 innings.
"I was the aggressor," said Gibson. "No doubt about it."
The Rangers saw their record improve to 34-37.
