In a tight tilt between the Orem Owlz and the Texas (Rk+) Rangers, Jared White was the deciding factor. The Orem right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Oscar Deviedma earned his 4th save, after closing out the game. The victory gives the Owlz a record of 41-32.

The Rangers had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Owlz going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old center fielder Ricardo Negron came to the plate. Negron hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch fastball from Texas (Rk+) hurler David Padron. It was Negron's 4th home run of the year.

"Jared had himself a pretty good evening," said Orem manager Dan Baer.
