Missoula Loses Again, 3-1
|
Ruben Gutiorroz, who is tied for 2nd in the PIO in complete games with 1, was in top form in a tight contest between Washington (Rk+) and Missoula. The Nationals right-hander helped his team beat the Osprey, 3-1. Mike Wilt got credit for the save for Washington (Rk+). It was his 1st of the year. The slumping Osprey have dropped 8 in a row.
Corey Massman came through with a big-time hit for Washington (Rk+). The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Ruben is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Washington (Rk+) manager Jeff Stanley.
