Blue Jays Suffer 10-0 Setback
|
The Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies got a stellar performance from pitcher Ken Moscatelli, who handcuffed the Toronto (GCL) offense en route to a win, 10-0, at Bright House Field. Moscatelli went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 7-1. Philadelphia (GCL) is now 49-15, Toronto (GCL) 39-25.
Willie Contreras dealt the Blue Jays a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Philadelphia (GCL) leading 1-0, Contreras, who is tied for 10th in the GCL in bases on balls with 25, hit a full count cutter for a run-scoring single.
"The Phillies definitely had our number," said Toronto (GCL) manager Matt McPhearson.
