Boucher Squelches Minnesota (GCL) Offense
|
Matthew Boucher was outstanding against Minnesota (GCL). The right-hander had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Blue Jays 3-0 win. Vince Luft closed the door for Toronto (GCL), picking up his 13th save of the year. The Blue Jays are now 39-27, while the Twins fall to 23-42.
Boucher made it look effortless. He scattered 2 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 11 strikeouts. The Toronto (GCL) right-hander encountered little resistance from the Minnesota (GCL) hitters. His season record is now 2-0.
"Matthew set the tone with an amazing pitching performance," said Toronto (GCL) manager Justin Ammons.
