The Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays used a great performance from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Francisco Najera to beat the New York A (GCL) Yankees, 3-0, at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. In 6 innings, Najera surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The setback makes New York A (GCL) 23-45.

The Yankees had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Blue Jays going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old catcher Juan Palma came to the plate.
