New York N (GCL) pitcher and New York, native Blake Hylinski had an outstanding performance. Sean Willis, now 6-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. New York N (GCL) has now won 5 straight.

Ramiro Melendez took New York A (GCL) hurler Dave Scherzer deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Mets on top, 1-0. In all, Melendez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
