Red Sox Lose as Rockies Stage Late Rally
The Colorado (GCL) Rockies had to overcome a fine effort from Boston (GCL) pitcher Ivan Reyes to win, 6-4, at JetBlue Park. Reyes went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Colorado (GCL) reliever Jason Spagnolo picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Earl Cristaldi was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was 19-year old left-handed pitcher Tom Valko.

Colorado (GCL) used the timely hitting of Chris Kuma to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rockies on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Kuma told a Colorado (GCL) Daily reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."

The Rockies raised their record to 44-26.
