The Minnesota (GCL) Twins got a stellar effort from pitcher Chris Gurr, helping Minnesota (GCL) score a win over the visiting Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays, 6-1. The Twins now own a record of 30-40.

The Blue Jays had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Twins going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old second baseman Danny de la Mora came to the plate. de la Mora hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch fastball from Toronto (GCL) hurler Danny Smith. It was de la Mora's 12th double of the year.

Minnesota (GCL) manager Antonio Rodriguez called it "a pretty good win."
