Pirates Even Record with 4-0 Victory
The Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates topped the New York N (GCL) Mets, 4-0, in Gulf Coast Rookie League action at Pirate City Complex. The game was highlighted by the performance of Pittsburgh (GCL) pitcher Adam Ogden. Pittsburgh (GCL) now sports a record of 35-35.

Jordan Gonzeles had a big solo home run for the Pirates in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Pittsburgh (GCL) leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a curveball from Alex Cuellar, who is tied for 8th in the GCL in holds with 4, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Pirates on top, 2-0.

"Adam was strictly business," said Pittsburgh (GCL) field general Vinny Romo.
