Mets Pull Out Late-Game Win, 7-6
New York A (GCL) got a terrific game from left fielder Danny Correa. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to New York N (GCL), 7-6. Correa went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Billy Galindo, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The last-place Yankees have lost 4 consecutive games.

New York N (GCL) used the timely hitting of Julio Somoza to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mets on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Enjoyed this one," Somoza told the New York N (GCL) Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
