Win Lifts Astros to 54-22
|
Jim Harvey left his imprint on the 7-4 Houston (GCL) win against the Atlanta (GCL) Braves. Harvey was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. Jose Corral earned the win for Houston (GCL). He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1. Alan Cassetta earned the save for Houston (GCL), his 3rd of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Houston (GCL), had it not been for Alan Blondell, the 21-year old third baseman . Blondell contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Houston (GCL) up, 6-4.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Harvey said after the game.
The second-place Astros have won 4 straight.
