Rays Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
The Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays weathered an outstanding game by Atlanta (GCL) shortstop Ethan Bonhomme to topple the Braves, 5-4. Bonhomme went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. Tampa Bay (GCL) reliever Scott Peterson picked up the win to move to 10-2. Travis Montrey suffered the loss. Reed McMonagle got credit for the save for Tampa Bay (GCL). It was his 5th of the year.

Tampa Bay (GCL) center fielder Gabe Torres contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two down, he hit a curveball to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Rays ahead, 5-3.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Torres said.

The South Division-leading Rays are 52-24.
