Akron RubberDucks starter Miguel Gauna turned in a sparkling performance against the Richmond Flying Squirrels, leading his team to a 1-0 win. The Flying Squirrels drop to 12-13 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2109 season.

Niko Von Meyer hit a solo home run off Jamie Estrella in the bottom of the eighth, which put the RubberDucks ahead, 1-0. In addition to the homer, Von Meyer had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"Runs were at a premium," said Akron manager Juan Nunez.
