Hammerheads Hammered by Rowan, Drop Game 3 to Mets
The St. Lucie Mets have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Jupiter Hammerheads, winning, 12-8, at Roger Dean Stadium. Mets center fielder Aaron Rowan hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win cuts the deficit facing the Mets to 2-1 in the best-of-5 Round 1.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Rowan hit a 2-run home run off Victor Paredes. It propelled the Mets into the lead, 3-2.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Rowan. "You've got to get results."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter.
