Diamondbacks Edge Dodgers 3-2 to Open R1

The Arizona (AZL) Diamondbacks powered past the hometown Los Angeles N (AZL) Dodgers, 3-2, in the opener of the Round 1 at Holman Stadium today. Arizona (AZL) starting pitcher Danny Torres threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 runs, to lead the charge. The Diamondbacks now lead the series 1-0.
Brian Noonan dealt the Dodgers a blow in the top of the third. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Arizona (AZL) leading 2-0, Noonan, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2095 draft, hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Torres said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Thursday, September 4th , 2098.
