Raucous Parkview Field Crowd Propels TinCaps to 3-2 Victory; Series Tied at 1
The Fort Wayne TinCaps defeated the South Bend Cubs, 3-2 in Game 2 of the Round 1 today. Doing his part was starter Telma Trancoso, who threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win moves Fort Wayne into a 1-1 tie with South Bend in the series.

Trancoso, the Fort Wayne right-hander, went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. He collected 11 strikeouts.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," TinCaps manager Adam Will said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium in South Bend.
