Friesz Struts Stuff in Win Over Albuquerque
Monday, June 22nd , 2111
Fans at Chukchansi Park witnessed the Fresno Grizzlies blank the Albuquerque Isotopes, 1-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Rich Friesz. The Fresno right-hander allowed 4 hits in recording the shutout.
"Rich was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Fresno manager Mike Gibson said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."
So far in 15 appearances this season, Friesz has recorded 10 wins and sustained 3 losses. He has pitched 109 innings, yielded 106 hits, fanned 97 and has a 3.55 ERA.
