Zamora Holds Albuquerque Scoreless
Tuesday, June 20th , 2113
The Albuquerque Isotopes had no answer for Fresno Grizzlies pitcher Marcos Zamora. They failed to score a single run against him, losing, 5-0. Albuquerque managed only 4 hits off Zamora, who had 8 strikeouts.
The extraordinarily popular Zamora got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd.
"Grizzlies fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances, but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."
This season, Zamora has worked 105.2 innings with 115 strikeouts en route to a 6-7 record and a 4.51 ERA.

Satern King of Fling with No-Hitter
Monday, June 19th , 2113
Nashville Sounds starter Justin Satern came up big at Herschel Greer Stadium with an exceptional 6-0 win against the New Orleans Zephyrs. Not only did he whip them, but Satern held them hitless, too.
"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Satern. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."
In the course of the no-hitter, Satern collected 13 strikeouts and surrendered 6 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.
On the season, Satern has a 3-4 record with a 3.80 ERA.
