Pacific Conference Names League's Best
Sunday, October 13th , 2115
At the age of 25, Andy Chiera of the Salt Lake Bees could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2115 was good enough to win the second baseman the Pacific Conference Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .332 batting average this year, as well as a .407 on-base percentage. He played 122 games and racked up 156 hits, 45 doubles, 5 triples, 25 home runs, 100 RBIs and 80 runs scored.
He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 16. Willie Verduzco of the Sacramento River Cats finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Rodrigo Ortiz of the Reno Aces finished third.
