The Charlotte Stone Crabs moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the St. Lucie Mets on the road at Tradition Field by a score of 4-1. Stone Crabs right-hander Jason Lento had a strong outing. He threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball. The win gives the Stone Crabs a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Lento delivered a quality start for Charlotte. The 6' 1" right-hander allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits over 6.2 innings of work.

"The rain was definitely not preferable," Lento said. "It worked out fine I guess, but we'll be happy if we see the sun next time."

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte.
