Bowie Breaks Through for First Win in Round 1; Now Trails 2-1
|
Already down in the Round 1, the Bowie Baysox put on their best show, beating the Hartford Yard Goats by a final score of 3-1. Sean Reinhart was special. He threw 8.0 innings allowing 1 run. Bowie now trails Hartford 2-1 in the best-of-5 affair.
Matt Thomson hit a run-scoring triple off Shane Haack in the top of the tenth, which put the Baysox in front, 2-1. In addition to the triple, Thomson had 2 singles and 1 walk, while going 3 for 4.
"Sean had good arm action, good stuff," said Bowie manager Seth Dugas.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at New Britain Stadium in New Britain.
