The right-hander turned in a performance for the ages at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Durham Bulls to victory in Game 1 of the Round 2. Shea held the Buffalo Bisons to 2 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 6. The win got the best-of-7 series off to a good start for Durham, which now leads 1-0.

Durham starter Matt Shea pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-3 right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 9 innings.

"Matt has got a slow heartbeat," said Durham manager Arnáo Dique. "He doesn't panic or anything."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham.
