Frick Blasts Knights, Indians Take Game 2, 6-3
With left fielder Andreas Frick leading the charge, the Indianapolis Indians got a road win over the Charlotte Knights, 6-3, in Game 2 of the Round 1 today. Frick was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 at BB&T Stadium to help Indianapolis force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Indianapolis used the timely hitting of John Gallegos to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Indians on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Knights manager Zach Strecker did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the Round 2."

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Victory Field in Indianapolis.
