Quintero, San Antonio Start Round 1 Strong with Home Win
The San Antonio Missions started the Round 1 in style, downing the visiting Midland RockHounds at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium by a score of 8-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Missions right fielder Dave Quintero went 2-3 with a home run and a walk.

Barry Nicholson helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Missions.

"There was a kid in the stands with a sign that said 'San Antonio Missions (probably) 2104 Round 2 Champions'," Nicholson told reporters after the game. "I told him, 'Premature, but I like the confidence.'"

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium in San Antonio.
