New Hampshire Tops Akron Again, 9-1
With starter Rich Rowley leading the charge, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats crushed the Akron RubberDucks, 9-1, in Game 2 of the Round 1 today. Rowley threw 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium as New Hampshire breezed to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.

Rowley allowed 1 run on 1 hit over 6.1 innings for the Fisher Cats. He walked 1 and struck out 7.

"We haven't stopped playing," Akron manager Chris Knowlton said. "We didn't get this far to give up."

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Canal Park in Akron.
