Road Win Lifts Tulsa to 2-1 Lead in R1
The 24-year-old rookie on the mound turned out to be the least of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals worries.

Giving a high-pressure playoff start to youngster Manny Krill seemed like a risky move for the Naturals, but it was one of the few things that went right at Arvest Ballpark today. Krill tossed 6 solid innings, but it was all for naught after Northwest Arkansas dropped a 1-0 decision. With the win, Tulsa took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Had Ricky Nieto not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases empty, Nieto hit a solo home run. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Drillers.

"We're happy," Nieto told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.
