The Myrtle Beach Pelicans took down the Winston-Salem Dash by the score of 3-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Round 1. The largest share of the credit belongs to Myrtle Beach starter Noah Wilder, who threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball.

Jim Unknown aided the Myrtle Beach cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4.

"The competition leap this year was tough to adjust to and I feel like there has been another jump in the playoffs," said Unknown, a rookie this season. "You're only playing the best now and everyone has time to rest and prepare for you."
