Already down in the Round 2, the Indianapolis Indians put on their best show, beating the Gwinnett Braves by a final score of 9-7 today. John Gallegos was special. He went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Indianapolis now trails Gwinnett 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.

Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Kevin Wallace to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Indians on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If you think about it, you're working your whole career to be in position to get a clutch hit or make a clutch play in the Round 2," Wallace said after the game. "That's what everything boils down to."

Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday at Victory Field in Indianapolis.
