Round 1 Game 1 Victory for Ruelas and San Antonio
The Round 1 got off to a quiet start today, with the host San Antonio Missions taking a low-scoring 2-1 win over the Frisco RoughRiders. San Antonio left-hander Francisco Ruelas was marvelous at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The Missions now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series.

Ruelas, who leaned on his cutter, allowed 1 run on just 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Missions. For the most part, Frisco hitters were simply overmatched.

"Tough win," said Ruelas. "We had to earn it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium in San Antonio.
