The Connecticut Tigers earned a close win over the Brooklyn Cyclones, thanks in part to Miguel Rodarte. The Connecticut right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The win was credited to Melvin Caballero in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Gavin Jones took the loss. The first-place Tigers have a record of 43-31.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Connecticut. That's when 20-year old center fielder Pedro Roman hit a run-scoring double off Gavin Jones to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"That game was intense," Roman said.
