Castellanos, Intimidators Wallop Shorebirds in Game 4 of R1
|
With designated hitter Antonio Castellanos leading the charge, the Kannapolis Intimidators got a road win over the Delmarva Shorebirds, 6-2, in Game 4 of the Round 1. Castellanos went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium to help Kannapolis force a 2-2 tie in the best-of-5 series.
Had Castellanos not come through in the top of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Castellanos hit a run-scoring single. The Intimidators took the lead, 3-2, and never looked back.
"I felt good up there," said Castellanos. "I saw the ball well."
Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday at CMC-NorthEast Stadium in Kannapolis.
