6-4 Tourists Win Evens Series With Legends
With right fielder Francisco Torres leading the charge, the Asheville Tourists got a road win over the Lexington Legends, 6-4, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Torres was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks at Whitaker Bank Ballpark to help Asheville force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Had Evan Peterson not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Peterson hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Tourists.

Asheville manager Jon Gonzalez commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 13th , 2104 at McCormick Field in Asheville.
