Vermont Lake Monsters pitcher Jon O'Connor whisked his team past the Tri-City ValleyCats, 4-2. Cesar Salazar earned the save for Vermont, his 2nd. Vermont sits in last place in the Stedler Division at 29-45.

The Lake Monsters got a big at-bat from first baseman Jose Rosa. For the game, Rosa went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Vermont a 3-0 lead.
