Winston-Salem Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game
It was a rousing finish to the Round 1 at BB&T Ballpark today.

The Winston-Salem Dash sent the Myrtle Beach Pelicans home for the season with a 4-1 win in the decisive game of the series.

The Dash took the series 3-2. Up next on their schedule is the Round 2.

Hauling in the MVP trophy was Winston-Salem third baseman Joreão Bicano. His numbers included a .647 batting average, 1 RBIs and 0 runs.

"With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Round 2," he said.

The Winston-Salem Dash will play against the Lynchburg Hillcats in the next round. Lynchburg won their series against the Wilmington Blue Rocks 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
