TinCaps Win Round 1
|
A 5-2 triumph at Parkview Field has wrapped up the Round 1 for the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
"We're off to the Round 2," said TinCaps first baseman Jose Noriega, who was named series MVP after his club eliminated the Lake County Captains by a series score of 3-1. "You can never take a win in a series like this for granted," he said.
The Fort Wayne TinCaps will play against the Quad Cities River Bandits in the next round. Quad Cities won their series against the Kane County Cougars 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
