Black Bears Lose to Mahoning Valley, 2-1
In a low-scoring affair between the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and the West Virginia Black Bears, pitcher Manny de Santiago was the difference between victory and defeat. The Mahoning Valley right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Scrappers win. The win went to Larry Francis in relief. His record improves to 5-0. Brent Rawlinson took the loss. After today's action, Mahoning Valley sits at 50-26, while West Virginia falls to 38-38.
