Tigers Need Extra Frames to Get Past ValleyCats
The Connecticut Tigers picked up a win at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, downing the Tri-City ValleyCats, 7-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Connecticut was right-hander Jose Perez, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Jose Rosales in relief. His record improves to 7-2. Donnie Edwards took the loss. Connecticut raised its record to 40-36 with the win.

Zack Miller came through with a big-time hit for Connecticut. The shortstop smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 7-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Miller.
