Hagerstown Win to Pull Even With Kannapolis
The Hagerstown Suns knotted up the Round 1 at CMC-NorthEast Stadium today, thanks in large part to starter Elias Valverde. Valverde quieted the Kannapolis Intimidators, enabling Hagerstown to grab the 4-1 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Had Frank Creamer not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases empty, Creamer hit a solo home run. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Suns.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Valverde, "to ramp up the pressure."

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 14th , 2098 at Municipal Stadium in Hagerstown.
