In Extras, Cyclones Beat Yankees, 1-0
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones got a superb performance from pitcher Zach Bird, who shut out the Staten Island Yankees, 1-0. The misery never ends for the Yankees, who've lost 10 in a row.
The Cyclones got a clutch hit from right fielder Craig Nagel. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Cyclones.
Nagel called getting the win a "good ending to a long game."
