Raucous Tradition Field Crowd Propels Mets to 7-4 Victory; Series Tied at 1
With catcher Dan Wollman leading the charge, the St. Lucie Mets defeated the visiting Fort Myers Miracle, 7-4, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Wollman was 2-3 with a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 at Tradition Field to help St. Lucie force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

There was more than one reason the Mets beat the Miracle, but Wollman's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-0 lead when he hit a bases-clearing double.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Wollman, "to ramp up the pressure."

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Hammond Stadium in Ft. Myers.
