Mets Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Fisher Cats
|
The Binghamton Mets got a sterling performance from pitcher Brad Thaler, but the New Hampshire Fisher Cats still prevailed, 5-2. Thaler threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. With the loss, Binghamton drops to 10-17.
New Hampshire used a timely hit from Jose Deramos to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Fisher Cats ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.
"They tested our mettle," said Deramos. "But that's good. It toughens us up."
