With second baseman Casey Peterson leading the charge, the Toledo Mud Hens got a road win over the Charlotte Knights, 9-7, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Peterson went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once at BB&T Stadium to help Toledo force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Toledo won the game in part because of Alex Mata. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mud Hens ahead, 8-7. For the game, Mata had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Peterson told the Toledo Times.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 11th , 2107 at Fifth Third Field in Toledo.
