Mahoning Valley Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
Already down in the Round 1, the Mahoning Valley Scrappers put on their best show, beating the Aberdeen Ironbirds by a final score of 1-0. Miguel Rivera was special. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. Mahoning Valley now trails Aberdeen 2-1 in the best-of-5 affair.

The Ironbirds had trouble solving Rivera, who surrendered no runs on 3 hits over 6.2 innings.

"That was awesome. Really, really impressive, what Miguel did," said Mahoning Valley manager Ramiro Tobar.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Eastwood Field in Niles.
