Memphis Takes Round 1 Game 1, Marston Stars
The Memphis Redbirds started the Round 1 in style, downing the visiting Oklahoma City Dodgers at AutoZone Park by a score of 6-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Redbirds shortstop Steve Marston was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times.

Marston had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth to put Memphis in front, 2-0. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run off Oklahoma City pitcher Tony Jimenez.

"We did a lot of things right," said Marston.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at AutoZone Park in Memphis.
