The Altoona Curve got a strong performance from pitcher Jordan Badillo, who stymied the New Hampshire offense en route to a 4-1 win in Game 2 of the Round 1. The Fisher Cats could never get a bead on the left-handed Badillo, who threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run. The Curve now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 series.

Altoona shortstop Dustin Sheppard helped the Curve go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Sheppard hit a solo home run off New Hampshire pitcher Franklin Castro.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Sheppard told the Altoona Herald.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.
