Mollman Blasts Cubs, Loons Take Game 2, 4-2
With catcher Dustin Mollman leading the charge, the Great Lakes Loons defeated the visiting South Bend Cubs, 4-2, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Mollman was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 at Dow Diamond to help Great Lakes force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Mollman had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the second for the Loons. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Great Lakes trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Mollman.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium in South Bend.
