Barons Rally Past Shuckers to Claim 1-0 Series Lead
A clutch 9th inning gave the Birmingham Barons a walk-off win over the Biloxi Shuckers and a 1-0 lead in the Round 2 at Regions Field. Young left fielder Paul Hammons, 23, earned kudos after he was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Chris Pitts was the walk-off hero for Birmingham. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Barons right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Hammons said in his postgame press conference.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Regions Field in Birmingham.
